The San Diego Mission Bay Boat & Ski Club

is one of the oldest boating clubs in the nation, located on beautiful Mission Bay. Our member roster is made up of a great group of people, both young and old, boat owners as well as non-boat owners. The purpose of this club is to provide education, skill and knowledge of boating and watersports, relaxation, entertainment, and pleasure to it's members. The SDMBBSC is dedicated to promoting the City of San Diego as a recreational center and to contribute to the support of such charitable institutions as designated it's the Board of Directors.
Founded in 1940, "The Boat Club" was started by a group of watersports enthusiast encouraged to have a place to get together with friends and family to enjoy their life's passion. Today, the same passion is alive and well! Our members enjoy relaxing and socializing at the water front club by creating and participating in a variety of activites. Here's a brief list of activities and events held throughout the year.

A Boat Club membership is a great way to meet other boating enthusiasts to share stories and plan future boating excursions. Members are also welcome to bring family and friends down to the club to join them in the fun.

Our management is modeled after the Roberts Rules of Order and Board Members are elected annually from membership volunteers. Also, all activities are planned and executed by volunteers too. With that in mind, there are always opportunities to lend a hand!

Take a look around the website and please contact us if there are any questions you may have. Enjoy your day on the water!

Each month, we publish a newsletter providing members and guests updates of planned happenings and general boat club info. Feel free to take a look...

Nestled away in a sunny corner of Mission Bay", our water front facilities are nothing short of a home away from home. Our clubhouse has a full galley, conference hall and social area. Our social area has 4 large screen tv's, full bar and seating for plenty of happy members. Our Boat Yard can manage almost any trailered vessel and is available for access year round.

For your convenience, there is a fresh water wash-down for members vessels after a cruise in the ocean. Boat storage fees are arguably the best priced for dry boat storage in San Diego. Why store your boat at home and haul it long distances when you can just hook up at the club and launch less than a mile away at De Anza Cove Boat Ramp?

The Clubhouse opens at 3pm on weekdays and 10am on weekends. Changes in the schedule are communicated at the facility. Members enjoy access to the boat yard 24 hours per day, 365 days per year!

We are located less than 1 mile from the Clairemont Drive Exit in San Diego. Take the Clairemont Drive Exit, turn towards the water. At the stop sign turn north and continue on North Mission Bay Drive down past the golf course. Call and come by for a tour of the grounds.
